About Hypnotherapy |
|
Hypnosis has been known to mankind for thousands of years. Ancient Egyptians, Australian Aborigines as well as American Indians have practiced hypnosis actively. Later it was introduced in Europe. Modern techniques of hypnotherapy are very different from ancient ones. Nowadays hypnotherapy is getting more and more popular as an effective treatment, the areas where it can be applied are expanding rapidly.

The state of hypnosis can be defined as a state of mental relaxation it is a sleep like state when a person is more than usual detached from reality and concentrating on the positive suggestions that are given by the hypnotherapist The hypnotic state of mind is perfectly natural and everyone has experienced it without even noticing it. For instance, when you are daydreaming your mind is in a light hypnotic state. Modern hypnotherapy is all about the client’s comfort and relaxation, it is permissive and gentle rather than authoritarian. In a hypnotherapy session your mind is in a hypnotic state, otherwise it is called a trance state, which means that you are physically and mentally relaxed, and concentrating on positive suggestions. It also means that you are aware and always in control of the situation. If you do not like the session you can terminate it at any time. However, it is unlikely, because the hypnotic state is pleasant and harmless. I would like to point out once more that a hypnotherapist cannot manipulate you during a hypnotic session as you are always in control. A light trance is perfectly sufficient for most therapeutic purposes, which means that you remain aware of what is going on. If you have any questions about hypnotherapy, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love to give you a more detailed explanation.
